Global Sports Brand teams up with television’s longest running kid’s program for a loveable range of apparel and footwear

Herzogenaurach, Germany (January, 2016) – Global Sports Brand PUMA has partnered with Sesame Workshop, the organization behind Sesame Street, to introduce a kid’s collection inspired by the well-loved characters of the long-standing
show. For more than 45 years, Sesame Street has taught generations of children their ABC’s and 123’s in 150 countries around the world. The show has brought enjoyment, inspiration, education and diversity through a mixture of whimsy, pop music and informational rigor that sets it apart from other children’s programming. Its most beloved characters – Ernie and Bert, Big Bird, Elmo and Cookie Monster amongst others, have become every kids’ friend.

The PUMA x Sesame Street collection includes iconic footwear styles from the PUMA archive in mini versions coupled with designs featuring Sesame Street’s adorable set of characters available for boys and girls from age 1 to 12 years. The PUMA Suede comes in four renditions that feature furry red Elmo, fuzzy blue Cookie Monster, scruffy green Oscar the Grouch and best friends Ernie and Bert. The Basket Classic gets monsterised with the Basket Sesame Street Furry Kids while PUMA Running classic, the ST Runner come alive with oggly eyes and friendly smirks. For babies 3 months to one year, they can frolic in the Crib Sesame Street infant bootie.

Also available are apparel for boys and girls from age 2 to 12 years – Tees, Sweat Pants, Sweat Jackets, Crew Sweats, Bermudas and Leggings. Completing the collection are accessories perfect for school days or play dates – Backpack, Play sack and Water bottles. All decked in playful designs featuring the Sesame Street crew.

The PUMA x Sesame Street collection will be available in PUMA stores, PUMA.com and select kid’s stores globally, beginning in January 2016.
