Arcona wins “Best Asset Management Company” at CIJ Awards 2017

Arcona Capital, a leading independent manager of property funds in the markets of Central Europe, is pleased to announce that it won “Best Asset Management Company” at the 17th annual Czech Republic CIJ Awards 2017 in what was described as a “tightly-contested grouping”.

At a gala evening on 30 November at Prague’s Marriott Hotel, Arcona competed for one of the 25 prizes on offer from well over 100 nominations in front of a packed crowd of more than
320 of the Czech Republic’s elite real estate players. The CIJ Awards are the longest-running commercial property awards event in the Czech Republic.

“We are delighted to have won the ‘Best Asset Management Company’ at the CIJ Awards 2017 in what has been an exceptionally impressive year for the whole sector,” said Guy Barker, Managing Director of Arcona Capital. “This award is testament to Arcona’s strength in its field of expertise, which comes from deep local market knowledge and long-term relationships developed throughout the region.”

“It has been another strong year for Arcona, whose portfolio of eight funds, two of which are exclusively centred on the Czech Republic, mean that we are now currently responsible for managing over € 645 million of real estate and financial assets on behalf of both private and institutional clients across seven European countries,” said Zbyněk Laube, Head of Asset Management CEE for Arcona Capital. “Our focus now is on securing further growth opportunities for our flagship Arcona Property Fund N.V., whose total asset value we are looking to grow to €500 million by adding 30-50 assets over the next three to five years.”
