FOR THE LOVE OF WATER: LATEST DROP FROM PUMA X GRADUATES OF CENTRAL SAINT MARTINS

Global sports company PUMA has teamed up with graduates from the BA Fashion and BA Fashion Communication programs at London art and design school Central Saint Martins for a second sustainability focused collection titled “For the Love of Water.”

PUMA’s latest collection of sustainable products, designed in partnership with graduates from Central Saint Martins college in London, is meant to reinvigorate our connection to water and appreciation of for it. The designs take inspiration from the shapes, colors and textures of technical seafaring gear and the garments feature the message “For the Love of Water” close to the heart.

PUMA knows that every action has the ability to enact real change in the world, no matter how big or small it may be. The collection focuses on reducing water usage in production through undyed or dope-dyed textiles, recycled meshes, and chrome-free leather. The bags use TPU material, which uses the least amount of water in production. Rubberized overlays are included in many items for seasonal functionality. With the sea in mind, silhouettes, materials and trims like embossing and jacquard are inspired by the idea of water and the outdoors.

The footwear in this collection is durable and water-resistant, inspired by ocean rescue boots. The PUMA x CSM RS-2K stands out with its warm color palette and buckle detail above the laces. Design details include the “For the Love of Water” message printed on the quarter, reflective details, and a rubberized finish. The PUMA x CSM Kyron is a women’s specific style offering a more progressive look with rubber wrap-up tooling and mudguard for extra protection. A tall, coated canvas upper and neutral color palette complete this unique shoe. The Ralph Sampson and Mile Rider also get a weatherized treatment for this collection.

The extensive apparel line includes styles for both men and women. Made for warmth and adaptability, the PUMA x CSM 2in1 Jacket features a long winter jacket on the outside and a second short padded jacket inside. The jacket includes drawcords at the waist for an adjustable fit, flap pockets with snap button closure, and orange accents that add subtle detailing to this monotone look. Made with dope dye and recycled fabrics, the PUMA x CSM Chunky Evo Knit is a cozy knit sweater in a bright orange, featuring a zipper on the front for the men’s version and pullover style for the women’s version. The PUMA x CSM Padded Hoodie has a vest construction and features a 3D front pocket with snap button closure, two concealed zippers at the collar, and an adjustable tape with buckle closure at both sides.

Made for any weather, the PUMA x CSM Messenger is a bright yellow flap over bag with a hook-and-loop closure into the main compartment, internal zip pocket with reversed zip track, and two slip-in pockets on the front panel underneath the flap. The PUMA x CSM Rolltop Backpack has a zip opening with a reversed zip track into the main compartment, rolltop construction, separate laptop compartment, and side mesh pockets for easy storage. Comfort comes from the ergonomically shaped and padded shoulder straps with a sternum strap and the padded and mesh back panel.

The PUMA x Graduates of Central Saint Martins collection will be available globally on October 29th on PUMA.com and selected retailers worldwide.
