CHEP announces changes in local and regional team management
As of April 1, 2020, CHEP, the global leader in supply chain solutions, has appointed Jan Kočárek, former General Manager in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, as Senior Manager for the European operations of its Collaborative Transport Solutions initiative. This is a key strategic scheme allowing CHEP to build efficient and sustainable supply chain on European and global scale. Thanks to this initiative, CHEP is able to connect customers with logistics partners, increase supply chain efficiency, and reduce the negative environmental impacts of logistics operations.
The management of CHEP in the Czech Republic and Slovakia will be taken over by Bohumila Bennette, who was named General Manager of CHEP in Central Europe on March 1. Bohumila has been working for CHEP since 2013 and has excelled in several economic and management positions. Her first role was as a Chief Financial Director in Central and Eastern Europe, responsible for CHEP’s financial management in 20 countries. Since 2016, she has been the pan-European financial controller for the parent company Brambles of which CHEP is a subsidiary. As the General Manager of CHEP in Central Europe, she will now oversee the company’s performance not only in the Czech and Slovak markets, but also in Austria, Hungary, Romania, the Balkan states and Switzerland.
“Leading this crucial pan-European transport collaboration initiative is a new challenge for me at CHEP. In the almost 5 years which I have spent leading the team in the Czech Republic and Slovakia we have more than doubled our turnover and grown to serve over 250 customers. We have also modernised our service centres, with a view to higher levels of automation. Finally, we have significantly improved our cooperation with retail, transportation and logistics partners in order to achieve our mission of being an invisible, seamless backbone of the supply chain,” summarises Jan Kočárek.

Both Bohumila and Jan will manage their respective agendas from CHEP’s Prague office. With the promotion of two long-term, experienced managers, the company has taken another step towards greater and more effective cooperation between local and international customers, carriers and other partners. The result will be the further improvement of CHEP services and the creation of even more resilient and sustainable supply chains across Europe.
